what did any of you do for your first car money wise?

was it used or new? did you pay for none, half, or all of it?

my grandma gave me her car..

it is a 1994 buick centry..

its a granny car.

but its really actually nice.

i didnt have to pay for it..

and it was used.

well my first car was a red 2008 lancer that was my baby (tear) i loved her so much but one night my dad drove her and totaled it (tear) i only had it for like 4 months but im getting a new one soon .....hopefuly.

my parents gave me a used 1988 Nissan Stanza when i was 18. although it was old-fashioned from the outside, i am  very satisfied with its performance. no sweat owning it

It was an old clunker my dad kept when they got a new one.  He let me make payments, and sold it to me for a ridiculously low price.

parents bought me an acura rsx. i didnt pay for any of it.

i'm lucky because had we stayed in california they would have given me an old ford taurus

my first car was a 04 dodge stratus

my first car was a hand me down, then once i got out of high school i had to give it up to my brother and buy my own car, it was used and it was 3,700 bucks.  i then sold that to buy a truck for 4,800... i bought the truck and the sale for my car didnt fall through so i had both... i ended up totalling the truck i bought 2 weeks after i bought it and got 3,000 more than i paid for it from insurance.  i decided to buy another truck for 5,000 at an auction and 4 months later sold it for 3,300 more than i paid for it.  i still have my 3,700 dollar car and upgraded the c**p out of it...

Ahh my first car. Well I walked back and forth every day to Dairy Queen for 6 months straight to pay for it. It's a lot easier to save money up when you don't have a car mind you. So anyways, one I had 1,500 dollars saved up I looked through the Tell N Sell and found the perfect car. 1993 Nissan 240sx for exactly 1500 bucks. d**n I loved that car, 4 cylinder stick shift and man it could boogy. Too bad 2 months later I was doing 75 in a 45 in the pouring rain and a lady slammed on her brakes at a yellow light, live and learn I guess.

It was a '93 Mercury Topaz (think Ford Tempo). I paid for it all on my own, cash... $375. Then I paid for and did all the work it needed on my own. Insured it on my own, etc.
