  1. It took me about 4 months from when I first started training to when I had my first official amateur bout.

I lost it (though I did score a knock down) so while it's kind of bitter, I'll never forget it and I'll always be proud that I stepped through the ropes; as should any fighter who has stepped into the ring.

  2. dependshow good you are but most of all your confidence its a hard thing to get into a ring with every onewatching you but just cobncentrate and go for it lol

  3. it took me like 3 years of training before my first match...

  4. One week I know this sounds crazy but that is how we use to do it back in the day no feeling out because the coaches wanted to know right away if you had what it took and even after you fought they did not take you seriously until after about 6 months and for all you people who don,t believe me I can prove it I still have the news paper clipping where I won a Golden Glove Championship. Now I would never recommend this to anyone I would say train for about a month but your trainer will know when your ready thanks for bring back the memories

  5. it took me i guess about 6 months....against a brazilian guy

  6. took me 6 months of training and road work and i had to lose like 20 lbs

  7. I had my first fight about a month into my training. I wasn't that good with my footwork and balance yet but I could take a punch and could land a hard punch. Like I told my trainer, Sparring & training is essential but getting into the ring for a match id the only way to get better. He agreed and it went from there.
