  1. No I love them both and try to give them equal attention.  But they both can be exasperating too.

  2. wow this is a toughie! i guess my fav would be.. oh gosh! i cant pick! i just cant! i love them all equal! all 19 dogs at my house![16 teporarily though] how you doing there bb?

  3. How can you favor one over the other? I can't! I love all of my dogs equally and give them all equal attention and love!

  4. I love them all dearly, but my 9-year-old Sheltie takes the cake. He's never mean, he sits right on my lap whenever I sit down, he's just a little lovebug. Smart as anything, too. He's my best friend!

I love my girls too, but they have each other. He usually gets left out...oh well. More for me!

  5. I had 6 and yes i did favor one more than the other but they were all disciplined and taken care of the same.the only diffeence was on the treats one would receive more than the others LOL

  6. I love them both and try very hard to treat them the same...equal attention, but I've had Lacie since she was a baby and she's been through a lot with a couple of rough surgeries in her short life. I was the one caring for her through those tough times, and I think that's what created the special bond. There's no way to get around something like that...that bond will always be with us. As for treats/walks/attention...it's doled out equally in our house.

  7. I have 2 dogs and 3 birds and all of them are special in their own way. Can't pick a favorite. Love them all for their own unique qualities.

  8. Chad says I do... I don't know. I love both my dogs, but, Eli and I have bonded  more than Molly and I have. Like Milly said, they both get shown the same amount of attention and they both get treated the same way. Eli just tugs at my heart a little harder than Molly does. :-)

So when tomorrow starts without me,

    Don't think we're far apart.

For every time you think of me,

I'm right there, in your heart.

    Still praying for you!

  9. no! i have two Pom's who are brothers. sometimes one is sweeter than the other but i still love them the same. i make sure i give equal attention. you will understand once you have two. however, when the dogs are different ages (i had an older lab and a chihuahua puppy once) and it was hard not to give the baby more attention!

  10. Yes, sadly.

Me and Penny have a stronger bond/connection than me and Noah have.(and Kelsey, and Casey)

I really don't know how to explain it, but I don't love one more than the other its just..we bond more?

    I dont' know, it's weird.

  11. I have two Labs and l do have a favourite, but l don't favour one over the other, they are both treated the same and given the same amount of attention, and ones never pushed away to favour the other.

I think doing that would cause problems between them, they are very close and l wouldn't want that to change.

It's just that Milly reminds me so much of Molly the Lab l lost to cancer, the way she acts and her expressions, l love both my girls, but there is a sort of special bond with Milly that's not as strong with Amy, but the way they are treated no one would ever know.

  12. I can honestly say yes I do,

I have always had male dogs, and they have always been larger breeds.I now have 1 Male Chow Chow, 1 Male Pomeranian Mix, and 1 Female Pomeranian. And I have to say I favor the girl over the boys, but the difference is very little.

She loves to be groomed, she will sit on your lap and let you brush her out, she loves being put in clothes and is content just being loved.I'm sure if she could she would prefer the attention to last all day.She likes going on walks but when it comes to being in the grass, she would prefer to lie down in it and eat the grass to playing around in it.

With my boys (who prefer to be out rough housing) It's different. They love fetching and having me romp around in the yard with them. They are not much for sitting still and grooming is not something they consider fun.The Chow will let me bathe and brush him but the whole time will sigh in disapproval. My Pom-Mix on the other hand will try and jump off the table as soon as I go anywhere near his back  side. They don't wear clothes and they prefer a good run around the block to being lavished with attention. They also prefer toys that make noises, which can be very annoying.

Not saying that Chloe doesn't like to play with the boys, or should I say pick fights with them.but She quietly settles down when it's time for our 1 on 1.Plus who can resist a cute bow or dress once in a while.

  13. Back when we had a rough collie (Keisha) and a coyote/lab mix (Duke), I did.  And the others.  Duke was unruly and we weren't very experience.  Well, I couldn't have been, I was only a baby.  Keisha was a young adult when my dad brought home an abandoned puppy he had named Duke.  Duke was mine and all mine.  He only liked me.  He bit my Dad and my Mom numerous times.  He liked my brother, but my brother was always playing with friends.  I played with Duke, I didn't like the fact he was chained in the backyard to a tree.  But, when we moved and couldn't take him with us (Keisha had gotten run-over and sadly died), he went to a farmer that could take care of him.  Keisha was my brother's, so I favored Duke more.  If I were to have two dogs now, I would try not to pick a favorite, although it might happen anyway.

  14. I have two Dobermanns and I used to favour one over the other. This is definitely not evidenced by my actions towards them, as they receive equal treatment in all things. Initially I had a stronger bond with the b*tch, but that was probably attributable to the fact that Tori and I had already developed a bond before JJ arrived.

I lost a fantastic Dobermann last year to cancer and took longer to bond with JJ because he was generally so unlike everything Louis Dobermann had in mind for the breed.

Now I don't favour either Tori or JJ, they have their own unique personalities and they are loved for what they are.

  15. When I did have two dogs at one time, my Chow always had such a special place in my heart.  I went and got him the day I moved out of my parent's house BUT my Keeshond I'd wanted long before I even got him.  I'd studied the breed for a couple years and wanted one for a long time.  When I finally did get him, he just had the type of personality that he just DEMANDED attention.  The Chow was okay with it.  He was laid back enough and tolerant enough that he accepted it and allowed it and just lived with it.  Everyone always noticed the Keeshond and made a big deal over him everywhere we went.  They were both special to me in their own way, though, but I'd have to say I really think the Keeshond was my favorite.
