  1. i do think that gas prices will continue to rise for the next year or so.  when our new president takes office, we should see change and hopefully enough to bring our troops back and get the nation's financial burdens lessened.

A thought on gas price-  i was in japan for 3 years and even though we pay 3-4 dollars a gallon, the japanese pay atleast $6 a gallon and have been for more years than our jacked up prices.

i'm just saying- prices aren't as bad as we think, we use more so pay less; they use less, so pay more maybe?

  2. I'm sorry to say, LOL, but they will go higher. But they will eventually top out. At what point I don't know. The reason they were so low all these years is because the oil industries discovered oil in Saudi Arabia back in the 50's and Arabia was a very poor country at that time and was glad for the wind fall. And we were allowed to buy it cheap. This pretty much put the small oil companies here out of business. They couldn't pump oil that cheap. In the early 70's, the Middle east took over their oil fields and formed an oil alliance with other middle East producers. But now they are gouging the rest of the world to a point where the small oil companies can compete and turn a profit too. The higher the Middle East goes, the more we pump. This will cause the prices to stabilize and a lot of the profit will will stay in our own country. We pay more, but we put more people to work here and keep more revenue here. Here's something to think about. Back in the 70's when  we had the 'oil shortage', Great Britain which has to rely on foreign oil, was paying $2 a gallon at the pump. We were paying .40 cents.

  3. Of course the prices will continue to rise as long as the oil companies keep donating to the candidates. As for the price of gas in other countries, many do not have an income tax and they also have government sponsored heath care. Give me free health care and no income tax, I'll be happy to pay $6. a gallon. My pocket would be happier for it.
