Your opinion on this rule change?

When there is a rushed behind or the last touch was from the defensive side the defensive side should kick out from behind the line, not the line at the edge of the square.

If you take a mark you have to kick from behind the mark and no one has a problem with that I think you should kick it from were it went out of play?

Happy New Year everybody!

  1. I agree it's almost an advantage conceding a behind. The AFL experimented with a 3 point rule but I think that if there is a rush of players at the ball it is difficult to see who had the last touch.

I would like to see a ball up at the 25 metre mark so that possession becomes an even money bet - players then wouldn't be so keen to rush it through.

  2. Happy New Year to you!!

Very good point there, half the rules dont make sense and either outdated or unfair.

Unfortunately your question is getting lost thanks to the trolls and clones who are posting stupid questions to clog up this section.

  3. Yeah, your right about the kick in, but I am sick and tired of all the rule changes, changes that we don't really need.

Mate, I do agree with you though. Good point.

  4. With the 3 points for a rushed behind it made it very interesting in the NAB Cup to see players on the last line try not to rush the ball through, I say bring it in to the regular season, I agree with you that you must kick over the mark and where the mark is, whether it be on the boundary line or goal line.

  5. I agree. I also reckon that the opposing team should have a free kick into play when the ball goes out of bounds & it is clear who touched it last.

A throw in if unclear who touched the ball prior to it going out of bounds. It would speed the game up & get rid of most of the ugly boundry throw in gatherings.
