  2. i live there. nice place realy. obviously there is alot of **** around like stabbings, shootings, its pretty ruff. but not overly ruff, you dont get beaten up each time you go out atall. only if you look for trouble will you realy get it, unless you go to obviously ruff areas.

nice parks. good shopping. yea.. i like it lol

  3. I lived in Reading for a couple of years, around 1973. It was fun then, with some great people and exciting places to be seen in. Shopping was great also. The police were always present, and the station at Valpy St, had many celebrity guests passing through. We read about it in the Evening Post.

When I went back after 1993 for a visit, the place had become drab, changed so much, with empty shops and looked very downtrodden. Rubbish littered Broad St, one of the main roads in town. The crime rate was already increasing when I was there, but statistics proved it had gotten worse.

I would never go back to Reading. Parts of Berkshire are quite beautiful though.

Cornwall, now that is a fine place and tourists love it. So do creative people!

In fact, I shall always stay in America. SO much SPACE, but I miss fish & chips.

  4. Are you working at the Tourist Office??

I studied there, Uni OK.  But Reading itself?

Lacklustre Uninteresting and all the other synonyms the Thesaurus suggests.

I have always wondered why. Perhaps things have changed since 1993.

  5. hexagon centre & the stadium,nothing else!

  6. lol

  7. I like the Kennet and Avon canal

  8. Good University, and even better Student union.  Rest of the town's a bit shite.

  9. i dont know wht that is sorry...

  10. It's generally a nice place. I travel by train to go there every day. It has a great shopping centre, nice houses, good schools, 2 university places (Thames Valley University, TVU and UoR-University of Reading). There are lots of different types of people there so anyone can fit right in. Depends what context you mean.
