No, they aren't The physics and chemistry first papers were pretty killer. Maths may be getting easier though but we are getting smarter the tests aren't getting easier so i dont agree at all.

Well, this is what many think. I feel that nowadays teachers are better and we've got better resources such as the internet and study(revision) guides. But cheer up dude! you dont want it to be harder do you!?? I wish they made it easier.lol

I dont think they are, as the years go on more and more practice papers are avaliable so students may be becoming more comfortable with the format and teachers can try and predict what might be in the tests.

its just unfortunate that for a lot of my exams i had new tests so i only had 1 practice paper.

also i think people are getting more pressure on them so they are taking time to revise and taking it more seriously.

No I really don't think they are, I do agree we probably have a better outreach of resources and also more facilities offered to us within school to help us study. But things like languages and english lit- I mean the orals are evil and the written exam ouch! Also although loads of people think it is a doss drama is bloody hard to get a decent grade in!

Nothing is easy.. Let me tell you, i worked so hard for the GCSE exams..

I know that if i didn't work hard for them i wouldn't have found them easy.. Behind every great grade lies hard work.. It's not getting easier, but they are easier than the O levels years back (i was told by teacher).

I agree with Jason, I don't think exams are getting easier, it just there are better resources, better trained staff and better courses allowing students to do better in exams. I spent the last two year working my butt off to do 13 GCSEs..... I also think people are trying harder than they use to........even if people are to arrogant to admit, more younger people are studying and trying than 20 years ago. Its easy for the government and hot shots to say everything is getting easier, you know what they should do...make everyone in the Goverment Cabinet do all the GCSEs most 14-16 yr olds do and see what they get now......i bet they'll fail!!!
