what do you think are the key things to being happy. these are what i think:

1. not concerning yourself with what OTHER people have, or can do, but just block that out and focusing on what you have and can do

2. not relying on others to make you happy, enjoy your friends company, but rely on yourself to make yourself happy

3. on bad days/ weeks/ months, never give up. just keep saying, tomorrow WILL be better, next week WILL be better.

4. let yourself laugh out loud

5. set little goals for each day and achieve them

  7. Nice, right on the spot, your "question" is good advice :) I agree with you and my opinions are similar actually. There is another one worth adding there though, and unfortunately it is the one that we cannot control or decide it is not that simple: finding our "soulmate". That would bring a lot of happiness to anyone, but yes self-happiness, or the part that we can do something about, is more important. It not that we can't do something about the other one as well, but it is not 100% under our control. Also, making a happy family would be the ultimate source of happiness, but once again, I think that depends on whether you find this "soulmate".
