Question:

Your opinions on the Florida Panthers and their future with Olli Jokinen?

As you know, the Panthers have been on the trade block rumor seemingly as long as they have had Olli. This upcoming year, do the Panthers need to dish him out, and for what in return?

If they do not dish him out what roster moves should they make other than dealing Olli.

(This assuming they are able to resign Jay Bo and Olesz.)

  1. I'm guessing after they let Luongo go, they're not looking to make anymore stupid moves, I'm sure they'll try their best to keep Ollie down there. h**l, the Panthers may even be after Malone if he doesn't go to Columbus...

  2. Olli Jokinen is a great player who deserves more like Shock's In The Mud said, if the Florida Panthers want to trade him they better get a first round pick and a good puck-moving defenseman.

  3. The Panthers would set themselves back another 5 years if they dealt him.  Your team needs to build around him, not remove him leaving a huge void.  All the young players you have are on the cusp of becoming something great.

Deboer is great with young players and won't coach boring defense like Martin.  Your team is built to be offensive minded and should be played that way.

  4. If the Panthers dish out Olli, they'll want a first round draft pick in this deep draft and others for him.  Calgary would be a good team that could use him and has a 1st rounder to give.

The Panther's top priority though, is to get a puck moving d-man.  Brad Stuart, Mark Streit, and Ron Hainsey are possibilities.

  5. OK fellow Panthers fan here. All you all that are saying Olli deserves better. The Panthers have been in contention for the post season the past three years all right into the last weeks of the season. And Olli is a lazy player for the most part. He plays in spurts. He can produce his numbers tell that. But if he played consistently like that all game, every game, His numbers would be through the roof. He will be gone on Draft day and Will command a good price. But he does have issues with his play and the new team will have to deal with that.I wish him well, but his welcome here is in Florida is for the most part over.We need draft picks and new blood on the team. It is time for change

  6. The sad thing is he deserves to be on a contending team

unlike other Sports professionals (NBA,NFL,MLB) he has yet to demand a trade or cry about it publicly.

Olli Deserves better!   like most players in the NHL he is a Class Act
