What does everyone usually hunt? what do they use?

WHat would you use for these animals.

this is what i use

Small game- 22 LR or 17 HMR

Coyote- 22-250

White-tail- 243. or 270.

Pronghorn- 270.

Mule-270.

Big horned sheep- 270.

Caribou- 300wsm or 270.

Black bear-300wsm

Brown bear or Grizzly- 300wsm

Moose- 270. or 300wsm

Elk- 300wsm

I normally hunt Ontario moose, or norther quebec caribou and i usually use 300. wsm Browning A-Bolt stainless hunter or 270. win Browning A-Bolt medallion

I used a Remington 700 bdl  in .30-06 and saved myself the need to buy a different rifle for each type of game. The reason I like the .30-06 is because you can find the ammo at nearly any sporting goods store in the world. Some calibers you can only purchase in gun stores and even then it might have to be ordered because the store doesn't move enough of that size ammo to make it worth keeping it on the shelf. While .30-06 isn't cheap it's cheap enough that you can practice and sight your rifle in with and not break the bank. I would go with a good compound bow for all the species. Needless to say I would pay a little extra attention with the grizz and brown bears!!

theres one gun that can do it all 12gauge shot small game use bb shot then when you get to the bigger game change that barrle to fully rifled and you sabot slugs

I hunt coyotes, deer, turkeys, and maybe black bear this year. For small game I have a 22LR, I use a 12 ga mossberg for turkey and for everything else I just use a .303 (I don't sell the coyote pelts so destroying a lot of the fur isn't a problem).

A Weatherby XXII in .17 HMR for small varmints as well as a...

Remington 700 VLS in .22-250 for larger varmint hunting.

A Remington 700 SPS in .308 for small-mid and some large game. .308 is a very good "general" round along with .270 and .30-06.

A Sako Finnbear in .375  H&H Magnum for large/dangerous game.

A Mossberg 500 20 gauge for alot of my bird hunting.

A Browning Citori 12 guage for bird hunting when I need the extra range/power.

G'day mate in Australia i shoot deer with a 270 cal,308, 30 06,7mil o8,but 308 and up i would use here ,our deer are a lot bigger here.wild boar we use a .223 on small pigs or head shot only, larger pigs, 243 up to 30 06 any higher is over kill,small game like rabbits foxes i use a22Lr, 22mag,.223rem .223 rem is for longer shots but i do shoot kangaroo's with my .223 also. I did a nice shot with my Burris scope about 750meters and my hold over point go up to 500 meters i had to guess the rest. cheers mate
