Question

does your appearance match the traditional description of your sun and ascendent? (since the ascendent controls your physical features)

and how does it/does it not fit you??

Libra Rising---I do have dark, curly hair, my eyes are symmetrical, and I have dimples when I smile....However, I'm not tall and slender, and not really very beautiful either...Though I make up for that by dressing very well, and being very poised and graceful when presenting myself to others.

Sun: Scorpio (I have green/gray eyes; they can't "pierce" objects, unfortunately, but I think they're nice)

Rising: Gemini (I have a somewhat wide smile, but I like it. I have really expressive eyes and hands that are always in motion)

Overall, I'd say I'm a 5. Not ugly but not pretty.

I look a lot like typical Arians. I was told by an astrologer that I have "Libra lips" whatever that means.

best way is to check astrofaces..

Some people seem to be very affected by their ascendants especially if planets are present in the first house/

Others.............it is a combination of the major planets.,stelliums and positions in the chart.

I agree Chainlighting. It is genetics, environment, heritage,  life style etc.

Am sag with gemini asc and leo moon and pretty much reflect a whole combo, I asked about sagittarians and high forehead..seems to be a trait. (question got reported and deleted though).

BUT.........when you look at your chart you see similarities with your parents charts also. Some astrological and psychological traits are most often passed down , good and bad, so are physical traits too..

Some diseases are passed down too.........everything is interrelated.

Well I'm a Cancer I don't have a big round race, more of a 1/2 moon face I guess you could say I have high cheek bones. They normally give Cancers 2 body types very skinny or fat. I'm neither. I am thick (not code word for fat either!) I am tall and I have a perfect hour glass figure. I have a nice small waist line flat stomach.  I am on the busty side and I have very nice hips. I have thick thighs, I believe that comes from my Sagittarius rising.

Come on, more likely it's genetics. Unless something magical happens during that last few inches during birth.

Occum's Razor: When there are more than one explanation for something. If they are equal then you have to go with the simplest explanations. The laws of physics have to be changed to be able to make the other statement true. Why should astrology make a first good choice for an explanation of anything? Name something that astrology does better than chance or an alternative. Then make the theories on how.

The moon and sun sign really don't have much to do with physical appearance unless the sun and/or moon aspect the first house or the ruler of the first house.

The rising sign, the placement of it's ruler, and planets in and aspecting it will determine your physical appearance.

I have the sun in cancer,and my rising sign is libra,and to be honest i think that i "sort of" fit the physical description of my sun sign,because cancer's are known for high cheekbones and round type eyes,and i have that,but my "features" are balanced like a libra rising,and i'm lean and slender,and i been working on building up my body.

Aries/Scorpio/Capricorn

I have really tan skin and straight black hair that kind of curls inward at the edges. Very dark brown almost black eyes. "Skinny", as most would say, I guess. Ugly feet but they're not as bad as Paris Hilton's xDD like you can see the veins in my feet! Ugh.. lol. Smiling a lot.
