Your take on Shadbellys @ Hunter shows?

I have a shadbelly bought for me if I go to any big Hunter shows because last year when I went to VHSA finals a lot of the girls in the pony hunter division wore Shadbellys. What is your guys input on wearing them in the Hunter Show ring?

Back when I was a junior they used to judge appointments in hunter classics.  The shadbelly was one of the appointments, and it would count against you if you did not have one.  I have seen very few shows lately, even at the "AA" level where they are still judged, but I like to see them in the classics all the same.  They looked a whole lot better with a top hat, but safety comes first.

I personally only like them in medals and classics.  It makes it more special when you do wear one in specific classes, rather than all the time.  Its almost TO classy to wear them in normal hunter classes.

I think it is very classy to wear them in Hunter Classics or at any big show such as pony finals or any kind of finals. You would probably be overdressed for just your run-of-the-mill hunter class though.
