you have time to see 5 different sports. You want them to gain a general understanding of disability and ability.

What ones would you chose

  1. I would choose any of the racing events especially the wheelchair participants.  The Amputee throwing events are great too wheelchair based power lifting is amazing to watch.  really I would just choose a good healthy mix of many different events or maybe even try the same event in each base category, that one might be better cause it would give the students a basis for comparison of how each disability group had to modify to achieve the world class level of competition.

    Ice Sledge Hockey  

  3. swimming because you see every disability repersented and there different abilities

    goalball a great "blind only" sport where they get to see how people who can't see can use there other sinces and play a really fun and rough game

    wheelchair basketball one of the best and most popular sport to watch. its fast paced and everyone able bodied and disablied alike

    and wheelchair racing- gives the a true respect for just how strong we are dispite of are challenges.

    judo- because the kids would enjoy it

    I would also make sure they get to see at least one medal cermony
