What are your thoughts on IHOP as far as the food/service goes? I have never eaten at IHOP and I hear it's very similar to Denny's, Waffle House, Shari's and Perkins'

  1. Stuffed french toast w/strawberrys :)  my husband claims it's health food!   lol

we go a couple of times a yr.  & never had a problem with either service or food.  One in Greenville Tx the other we visit is in Memphis TN

  2. It is very similar to those franchises.

I am a pancake consesouir, (but a bad speller).  They do have the best pancakes, and if you ask, they will bring you hot maple syrup.  That makes an excellent side to a wonderful omlette.

Then again, I am 25 pounds overweight-I know the good stuff.

  3. So far no complaints against ..IHOP...but I have not been at Denny's for the last 10 years...Quality of service..and food .."Not good"..

  4. I like the food at IHOP but it is  a little pricey for breakfast food. Usually service is very good, just depends on which on you go to.

  5. ya it's kind of like denny's ..but personally i dont' like the breakfast at denny's ...i like ihop better i love there breakfast there...and me and my friend go every wed. morning before school...so if we eat there about once a week ...of course it's good food...

  6. Its okay..Service sucks, its very expensive for what they serve but some entree's are pretty good.

  7. yes its like dennys. It has good food.

  8. I go maybe 1x per year at most. The food is well fattening like almost every restaurant, but you have to want to make healthy options and it is doable there. The service I've had is generally always pleasant. It isn't perfectly clean but they haven't been difficult about changing things when I've asked. If you want a sugar rush at 8am it is perfect!

  9. I like Ihop breakfast it is what you expect,(wait till your order is cooked and delivered)  but a great joke I like is "if you had only one leg can you get a job at Ihop"?  Better then Dennys and Sharis.  How international is IHOP if it is in Canada and USA that makes it international or world wide like baseball and football.  But I think it should in at least 3 other countries to be international.  Canada is not 1, Canada is like a stepbrother/sister.

  10. I LIKE DENNYS SO I DONT KNOW.....

  11. I wouldn't go to ihop if it was free. In no way can you compare it to Perkins, which w/ the exception of a real diner is the best in my area. ihop in my area is dirty, attracts the screamin kid crowd, and packs you in like sardines. They are so desperate to compete that they run a constant discount coupon. Just a trashy place for trashy people. Pay the extra $5 and be treated like a person and not a pig at the trough!

  12. IHOP: home of the one-legged waitress  :)

I've eaten at ihop only once and never again.  It was a new location next to the Mall of America.  After we were sat a server never came to the table.  It was hard to ask for help since hardly any of the employees spoke English.  We finally were able to flag one down. When "LaTeesha" (as I will call her) finally took our order she screwed it up.  I ordered stuffed french toast and scrambled eggs.  The eggs came out sunny side up and the almost frozen strawberry compote that was on top of the french toast made the meal cold.

I never received an apology or ANY response after I filled out a customer comment card on my way out the door.

By far the BEST place for breakfast is the Original Pancake House!!!  They make everything from scratch, use real half and half as coffee creamer, real butter, homemade whipped cream with the waffles and all around top quality ingredients.  The 49er Flapjacks which are thin and goey are to die for!!!
