  1. tip people that serve you  the waiters and waitresses  dont get much salary cuz  they depend on tips

  2. I always try to tip anywhere in the 15-25% range at restaurants. I used to be a server, so I know what it is like!! At the hair salon I always just get my hair cut so I usually give a $5 tip. I've never have rode in a taxi, so I have no clue how I would even tip on that! But besides, haircutting and eating out, I am never in a situation where I would need to tip.

  3. Restaurants- I tip anywhere between 10-20% depending on the service.  Crappy service = 10% tip, Good Service = 15% tip, Above and Beyond service = 20%.

Hair salon- I usually tip 15% of the total bill.

Taxis- Never been in one that I had to pay (I was in one when I was 8 years old or something, but that's the only time I've ever been in one).

Hotel- $1-2 per day (depending where you are at)...If you want a clean room and good service (need an extra towel, etc.), tip housekeeping!

  4. restaurants: 15-20% ( sometimes more because i really like the person)

hair salons: depends, if i've had the same stylist for a while, i'd tip her 10-15, and if they're new probably 5-10

taxis- some include it, some don't, depends

hotels- i guess people are supposed to tip the house keeping, but no one does, and some hotels include tips in room service, etc.

  5. tip only on the food and not the tax is best

  6. I don't mind tipping and for the most part it actually makes me feel pretty good. I am a very generous tipper being a server myself. But lately it seems like I am not sure who to tip because everyone is asking for one. The dry cleaner, subway, etc. Next thing you know the bank tellers will be asking for one. I just wish we could stick to a standard of all the originals we all knew we should tip.

  7. I give tips if the serve is good. They say that we should always tips;but I say " if the servers is good.  I work hard for my money and they don't give me tips.

  8. at restaraunts 15-20 % depends on how much your bill was and how good the waiter/waitress was.

hair salons- like $5-$10 really depends on what you get done and if they are any good.

    nail salons- $2-$5.

and idk about taxis cause i've never had to ride in one
