  3. Mina Loy was somewhat of a revolutionary of her time - in early 20th Century England her thoughts were often considered to be avant-garde and radical.  With this in mind, Loy was taking a common idea (that what you see is what you get) and taking it a step further - she was asking, "what if there's more to something than what we are able to see?" The irony in this is that we aren't even able to really see God's eyes - in her society, however, either God was upheld as an all-seeing entity, or questioned with the onset of new religious/spiritual thought (Darwin and such).  According to Loy, a very radical Loy, there may be more than meets the eye.

  4. I read it again and its made sense

    But here is one

Behind God's Eyes there is a bright light

    Its holding you tight

Jesus died on a cross for us at night

    We are the knight
