  1. My guess is Washington. It makes sense because there hasn't been an ASG in the nation's capital in years and it's a good way to showcase the Nats' new park and garner more interest for baseball in D.C., which is mostly a football city.

While I wouldn't mind the Mets getting the 2011 game, they're hampered in that the Yankees had the game this year and three years between games in one city isn't happening. I think CitiField will get the game in 2013 or 2015.

  2. I know the Dodgers are pushing hard to get an all star game.  They are fixin up the stadium with shops and restaurants and c**p like that.

  3. It should be in one of two places:

San Diego's Petco Park or the New Florida Marlins ballpark *if it exists by 2011*

  4. Nationals Park...even though the Nationals aren't a very good team, the ballpark is amazing and it be cool to see the ASG back in the nations capital.

  5. well its has to be an NL ballpark, so I would say either the mets with there new park or let it go to Chicago in Wrigley field..or the last choice give it to the nationals in there wonderful stadium!

i think chicago would be nice!

  6. Rumor has it that the Mets are interested in getting the 2011 ASG in their new stadium. And, normally, New York gets what it wants. Also, MLB would probably not deny the Mets. They know how much money they could get out of this. Some of the profits of the ASGs ticket sales go to MLB, and with the old Yankee Stadim charging $200 a ticket AVERAGE, CitiField could easily top that. Also, if you notice, the parks go AL, NL, AL, etc, so it would be a NL teams turn.

  7. I'd like to see it at Dodger Stadium, the last time it was there was 1980, so by the time 2011 rolls around, it'll have been 31 years, with 30 teams, it should be LA's game again...

edit: and no, Anaheim is NOT LA.

  8. There's no way the LA area is getting 2 in a row... the Dodgers won't have it for at least 5 years after the Angels, if even then

I'd say the new Nationals stadium is a good bet.  Too soon for one of the new New York stadiums

  9. The Diamondbacks are vying for the 2011 All Star game as evidenced in this article:

    http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/story/8...

As of today (july 30, 2008) the site has not yet been picked.

  10. the new Twins Field

  11. It will probably be CitiField in NY. Yes, this year's game was in NY, but the Mets haven't hosted since 1964, the first year of Shea. Yes, other teams haven't hosted one yet, but those are the newer teams.

  12. Kauffman Stadium.

  13. I think it should be in Nationals Park in Washington, DC.

  14. The Nats' ballpark.

I hope the year after it'll be at the new Twins stadium.

  15. My best guess would be either Washington or Arizona. Very rarely does a ballpark host an All-Star Game in its first season. I would say Washington is more likely of the two because the previous two games were held at the stadiums of a Central and West team. I doubt that they would want to put the All-Star game for two consecutive years on the west coast.

So yeah, my bet's on Washington.

  16. Mostly likely Washington or Arizona.

    I've written why elsewhere.

  17. Washington D.C

The Nats park is new, nice and the area around it is developing nicely and should be amazing by 2011.

I have season ticketts to the Nationals, and the Stadium is by far my favorite new stadium.

  18. possiably going to be at Citi Bank Park the new Mets park, there is also the possiablity it may be at Great American ballpark Red's house
