Your thoughts on the CSET exam.?

What do you think are the true reasons teacher candidates must pass the CSET before obtaining their credentials?

The answer is simple.  Because the teachers were turning out to be as intelligent as their students.  Teachers who didn't know math were teaching it, and education over the last 20(in the U.S.) has become a joke.

The CSET is a high school level test, but many of the test takers can't pass it. For example 80% of the math CSET takers can't pass the test.
