As most Canadians would know, over the past few weeks there has been warnings and recalls of meat produced in Maple Leaf factories. So far 10 people have been killed because of Listeriosis and the recall list / food to avoid seems to be growing everyday.

What have you been doing during your shopping trips? Have you been avoiding certain meat or meat completely and trying out a vegan life style?

Here's the recall list from Maple Leaf Foods website:

  1. Scary stuff.

We had a meat recall here in Washington State a few months ago. I shop where I can get great deals, IE: save money.

I had purchased a package of the ground beef that was recalled. The store refunded my money. Thankfully, my family had not consumed said recalled meat.

I am thinking of raising my own food sources.

    Hogs, a cow, chickens, etc.

Good luck to you all up there.

  2. Who cares.....It's Canada.

  3. My thoughts:  That's pretty serious stuff. I just knocked off a couple of deer from my back porch. I'll be set for months.  They had been around so long, they were almost tame. Pays to be nice to wildlife.
