Your thoughts on the name Azriela...?

I heard this name for the first time today. Linguistically, I think it's beautiful... but is it too strange? Too much? What do you think?

I like it. It's actually a Hebrew name, feminine form of Azriel.

While I think the name is pretty, I immediately had visions of Gargamel's cat on the 80s cartoon the Smurfs.

"Azrael : Gargamel has a long-suffering sidekick named Azrael (not "Azreal" or "Azrial"). Azrael is a tough, mangy cat who compounds the Smurfs' problems when they're being chased by Gargamel."

Not sure on the pronunciation (As ree al ? ) Sometimes children feel put out if people constantly mispronounce their names (or misspell ). Ultimately, it is your choice I have a daughter with a different name and she is not daunted by correcting people in their pronunciation or spelling of her name.
