  1. They were attempting to transfer their feelings of inadequacies onto others in order to allay their overwhelming feelings of anger and lack of control in their own lives.

  2. My thoughts?  First off, you frighten me that you seemingly want to honor them or to eulogize them with our thoughts.

But if pushed to share my thoughts, they are cowards all.  They were insignificant and meaningless and in their pea brains these petty acts of misplaced rage and misguided hate somehow made them "somebodies."  Like only a real somebody can pull a trigger.  If it wasn't so sad and so stupid, it would be funny.  They were idiots.  They were in the snares of blind rage, rage that halted all rational thoughts.  They were without souls, detached from their humanity.  May God have mercy on their wretched souls.

  3. Cowards to the core. It also doesn't help when the parents are too stupid to plant the kid on his @ss and tell him the facts of killing someone. All of the cons involved in committing a murder. These kids know right from wrong and do not care. At times people are so quick to blame movies, television, and video games as the cause of violence. If that were true, what video games, movies, and T.V. cause the Mongols, Romans, and Vikings to be violent? None. It's a simple minded excuse for a no accountability society today.

I went to school and had bullies pursuing me everyday. Sometimes only one and up to 5. I could easily outrun them all. They would ridicule, embarrass, even ambush me at any given time and they were revered as heroes. I had a nut for a father and mother. I feared going to school and coming home. Yet, I never killed anybody because I always thought things through.

My father was a member of several gun clubs and has many firearms that I could have easily reached at any given time. But unlike school shooters today I knew what would happen if I came to school with my father's guns. I feared him more than any inmate or judge I may face. I knew that a day would come when I could get back at those that terrorized me and I didn't have to kill anybody.

I home school my kids now because of the school system's lack of safety measures. No one ever shoots up a home school. I read about school shooters, bullies, theft, destruction, harassment, sexual assaults and people tell me that my kids are missing out on the social aspects of school. What is so great about the fore mentioned problems in public schools? Where is the positive side to socializing here?

To end this shooting problem the parents need to get their heads out of their @sses and stop babying their kids. Start accepting responsibility for their actions and straighten them out. Pay attention to their behavior and stop letting them wander aimlessly with no idea with what they are planning. Buying them a XBOX or an IPhone does not solve the problem but merely increases it. Because the people that suffer the most are not the shooters or their parents, but the public school kids actually making the effort to better themselves and their families.

  4. Each probably had a different motivation, but all seem to have been humiliated by their peers at some point. Some were humiliated by jocks, with the tacit approval of their schools. Others had emotional problems that probably originated in early childhood.

The only common links seem to be that  they were recognized as having problems but nothing was done about it. And the media meat gave them so much coverage that copy-cats were inspired. They should handle them like that cop in Wisc. His mass murder only got about 5 minutes coverage total. If he had killed all those kids on their school campus (and hadn't been a cop) , we'd still be getting references to iy on the TV.
