I keep receiving notification that an update is available, yet, when I click ok I'm told the Yahoo server is unavailable. This happens at all times througout the day so I cant accept its due to heavy traffic.

  1. Hi Karl, if you've recently updated Internet Explorer to version 7 follow the path below to uninstall it (don't worry IE v6 will reappear if you were using - otherwise just download it (see Google).)

Once IE v6 is back up and running after a system re-boot, try your update manager again.

If that hasn't worked, try Uninstalling the one you have (if any) then re-install from here:

    http://consumer.installshield.com/kb.asp...

To Uninstall go via My Computer > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > ....

Best of luck my friend, and please have patience - you'll get there in the end.

  2. It could be yahoo server is heavily full of traffic at the moment, the best time to try is when the kids are back at school, it should take the pressure off it a bit more to allow more traffic flowing.
