Your views about Podcast mass ? ?

Good afternoon everyone,

I would like to know your opinion about the roman catholic mass you can find on itunes and also on podcast ( france culture notably has a very nice podcast every sunday where they brodcast from different part of french old and historic church )

The way i see it ... there isn't a lot of french speaking churches around where i live and i think the podcast of mass helps me to `go to church` without having to commute 1h and 30 mins.

What are your views on podcast mass ?

Very sanitary. Don't have to do a thing but pay for the podcast. Not very spiritual.

Its cool, but I still think you should go to church if you can. If you were not able to then it would be find, but your able to.

idk... even as a catholic i've never heard of that before..

i guess it has to be better than not going at all right?

living in America is about having the right to chose for yourself. If you feel good about getting your spirit fed via ipod, radio, tv or whatever means necessary, great. as long as you feel good about it, no one else can tell you what you should or shouldn't do when it comes to your religion.

if you start to feel like you need something more then get back into the church real quick though.

Listening or seeing a broadcast of the Mass does not satisfy the requirement to actually participate in the Mass.  

In your situation, I would drive the hour and a half when practical.   If the Mass in our area is in a language you do not understand, go anyway.   If not practical, attend services at another church, but refrain from participating in their communion.
