  1. If people clean up their trash, why not.

  2. There's never any space for that.

  3. It should be banned; I don’t travel on the tube but use buses and trains frequently. I find that most travellers feel its ok to leave all their sandwich containers and empty drinks on the table they have used during their journey. Why is it so hard from them to simply take their own rubbish away with them and pop it in to a bin?

  4. It would be alright if people took the packaging, cups and bottles with them and threw them away in rubbish bins or recycled them, but in view of the fact the seats and floors get covered with the stuff plus endless free newspapers that all ought to be re-cycled,  I think eating and drinking on the Tube should be banned

  5. Depends on what.

Strong smelling food can be offputting (yes I know the Underground and Tube are not rose garden but thats no reason to add to the problem)

People who get grease on the seat and chuck the empties on the floor really spoil things for other people.

Apart from water (because of the heat) I do not see the need.

  6. Please don't spill it on me.....:-/

  7. As Long as you take your rubbish with you i don't mind.

  8. The tube is for travelling - restaurants are for eating.

How would you feel if, while you were seated at a restaurant, a group of people sat close to you, with a couple of standees, for good measure, everyone quietly ignoring each other?

  9. I am not bothered if you take all your cartons with you. I hate the planks who have their personal stereo on full blast!!

  10. It should probably be banned. Metro systems that don't allow it, such as Hong Kong's, are usually a lot cleaner. It's no good saying it's all right if people take their rubbish with them because let's face it, they almost never do.

  11. With the exception of water, it should be banned. Have you ever seen the state of an Underground train just before it goes out of service at the end of the day? Half-eaten kebabs and burgers, chicken bones, empty bottles etc. It is a foul smelling mess.

As people say, it wouldn't be so bad if people took their litter with them but unfortunately in this country people expect everything done for them. The fact there aren't that many bins on the system (anti-terrorism measures) is irrelevant. What's wrong with taking it with you until you find a litter bin?

The worst thing, though, is the amount of discarded kids' meals (McDonald's Happy Meals, etc) and sweet wrappers. It clearly shows that parents are actively encouraging their children to litter. If this is the case then there is no hope of people changing their ways. Banning food and drink may seem draconian but if people can't take responsibility for themselves then it is, sadly, the only solution.

  12. As long as they take their RUBBISH with them, then why not.

What really annoys me is when they put there feet/shoes up on the seat.

  13. doesnt bother me unless they are eating something smelly like a pasty.
