Your views on stereotypes wanted.?

WHAT THE F*CK IS UP with all the stereotyping in the youth of today.

'Ooooh, hes a dirty greebo'

'Get out my face you chav'

etc..

Do people not accept that there are some people that listen to a WIDE range of music? Christ..

Well I think stereotypes are just a blown up over exaggeration of some truth.

But for music in youth, I think some people get defensive because they are finding themselves and they are beginning to find what they do and don't like about the world. And some music that can be argued to follow stereotypes depict what they do and don't like in the world.

But I think the idea itself about adolescences can never constitute for the whole. I wouldn't call it heresy, because their is a majority for what I know who pick music and stereotypes like that.

However for me, I listen to WIDE range of music, Radiohead, Fiona Apple, Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, Cradle of Filth, Beethoven, Pavarotti, Franz Liszt, Unkle, Daft Punk, Nirvana, Queens of the Stone Age, The White Stripes, Madonna, Britney Spears, Feist, System of a Down, Linkin Park and others.

And I'm a 17 year old black chick prep whose fave store ever is Abercrombie & Fitch and plays Dance Dance Revolution, so I cearly defy a lot of sterotypes.

But I honeslty think, as kids teens or whatever you want to call this gerneration finds their place they wouldn't call out steorytpes as a norm and might have a wider range in music.
