Did your gown's details show well in your wedding pictures or was it more like a white dress?

Thanks!

  1. I had the most beautiful dress top. It was beaded, embroidered, had jewels, etc., but I was very disappointed to discover they did NOT show up in most of the pictures. They showed up in a few of the close ups, but it didn't do the dress much justice :(

  2. Here is the dress (mine was all ivory however):

Here's pictures of me in it:

After the wedding was over, I had a formal bridal shoot to capture all the fine details.  It was definately worth it.

  3. it didn't really show up that much.  you have to squint to see mine.  and i have a REALLY good photographer.  but the black and white ones and the pictures from the side you can see my detail.

its not a very good black and white one but you get the idea.   good luck

  4. Most all white dresses, the details are only usually good in the photo of the bride and groom by themselves.  It's far easier to adjust lighting for one or two people in a portrait than a bunch.

My dress is going to be gold and burgundy, so no problem at all.

  5. Hi.  The details of the dress will not show up in the majority of the pictures....especially the ones with the full wedding party.  If your photogrpaher does some close ups of the two of you, which I am sure he/she will, then obviously, you will see the details of the dress.   But, they are usually trying to get something else in the picture too .....some nice scenery, a beautiful sunset, etc. not necessarily the dress details.

Obviously, you can tell your photogrpaher what types of photos you want prior to the wedding.  If it is important to you to get details of your gown...then specify that to him/her.

  6. In the close ones, sure.  The far ones, not at all.  Then again, I wasn't a fan of my photographer and don't think she did the best job...

Okay, had to take the links off.  Didn't realize it had my whole name on the link.. Oops.  Email me and I'll show you copies if you'd like....
