  1. Turn the ignition key off but not to the lock position and get out and walk....

  2. Whats with all the thumbs down? Many answers are perfectly good...

Don't get me wrong, its very dangerous and if something happens you'll almost certainly be killed... but cars today are built well and odds are usually on your side. Try to relax, hope that the cops pull you over to end it, and don't panic.

Telling the person "omg slow down!" or any sort of attempt to convince them to slow down will likely just encourage the driver... after all, if they're going that fast already they already seem to like living on the wild side, or the daring side... so any sort of reaction will only encourage faster.

Someone pointed out if you can be sick or act sick... NOBODY wants someone throwing up in their car. I'll sooner ruin my tires and brakes trying to pull over than have barf all over my front seat.

Just remember who was driving... and try to avoid being in that persons car in the future.

  3. If they don't slow down after the first couple of times of asking them, dial 911 and report them and let the police know you're an unwilling passenger.  Anyone who would do some stupid c**p like that ISN'T your friend.

  4. Not much you can do.

If you keep yelling at them, you're distracting them and increasing the chance of a crash.

If you turn the key off, they lose their power steering and you distract them, increasing a chance of a crash.

Let them slow down, stop, then get out of the car and walk and never drive with them again.

  5. this person is not much of a friend if they are endangering you and themself. may be try to let them know how you feel and if they do not like it, you should not get into car with them agian

  6. Well ...........................................

Make sure your seatbelt is on TIGHT !

    Pretend you dailed 911

Scream ... I've been kidnapped ! the person has taken you and you think your on ((Name Street)) and your going over 125MPH you think !!!!!!! Please Help!

    Help Please ..... AAAAAAWWWWWW

(right hand to right ear, left they can try to grab it)

If they don't start slowing down about the time you Name the street ? Get ready to do it for real if the Blue and Red lights start coming up from behind...

    Good Luck....

  7. That's a tough one...Essentially, you're along for the ride...You've got let the driver know of your discomfort without antagonizing or belittling him/her...The last thing you want is for the driver to loose control of the vehicle.

About the best thing to do is to loudly exclaim that you feel sick (which you actually may), then put your head against the headrest and close your eyes...I hope that most drivers - even the reckless and stupid - will respond to someone in distress.

    All the best.

  8. Yes, I would fake being about to barf in his/her car because you are terrified, and then DON"T drive with them again. I would tell them off AFTER getting out of the car about their irresponsible attitude and the fact that they endangered YOUR life. I'd also talk to your so-called friend's parent or at least your own parent about this.

  9. Umm hold on tight LOL

  10. Not much you can do other than to try to persuade them to slow down or stop and let you off at the nearest gas station or something.

Afterwards however, you can explain the situation to his parents (depending on age) and friends (depending on maturity) and refuse to ever get into a vehicle where they are behind the wheel ever again.

  11. tell em to go faster... i wann know where it tops out
