Youth Golf Tournament?

Question

I was wondering how a person would get recognized so they would be invited to a golf tournament? I am only 16 though so it would obviously have to be a youth tourny...Thanks!

Generally you aren't invited to a tournament, you have to make an effort to enter the tournament.  This involves meeting any requirement (age, handicap, residence, etc) and paying an entry fee to cover greens fees and prizes.

People just dont invite you to tournaments, unless youre a friend of someone running it...

Youre 16, there has got to be an AJGA (American junior golf association) circuit in your area.  Thats where the best of the best of the age groups play, and its a great way to be recognized

whoever said ajga you can't just play those tournaments, you have to qualify, look for a state run junior golf association, play well and you will qualify for bigger tournaments
