Question:

Youth Work Training?

I currently work in the Youth Inclusion Project in Leeds, working with 8 to 13 yr old's at risk of offending.

Recently my funding dropped and I am now only working three days a week.

I am wanting to train for my Youth Work Certificate in order to find another position, but money is tight to pay for it.

Is there anywhere I can train for this for free, or at a reduced cost.

  1. Great idea and I appreciate the reasons as I to work in a centre.

Ask your local council and maybe check the websites of any local youth centres.

Your local college or uni may have CPD programmes

(continuing professional development) that you can access.

Also be sure to ask about any fee waiver schemes they have.

this link is to the open uni site

    Good luck
