  1. In some ways more than others I do believe we do. Youth today goes through way more stress in today's society. Like school for example; drugs, peer pressure, shootings, gangs. Don't get me wrong though some adults went through tough times in the past. Things that we have never experienced. So I agree but then again I don't.

  2. They think they do. Adults have the experience to handle the situations that young people are too inadequate to deal with.

  3. I don't know about more problems, but i think they have more influences shoved upon them.

Between the glam portrayals of certain lifestyles on tv, in movies, and magazines, un-realistic body images to compare to and try to live up to, the strong peer pressure to have s*x, do drugs and drink are all amplified with the 'new' technology -- emails, myspace, facebook, texting, cell phones .... and then the 'old fashioned' way - in person and in groups....  I think quite a few parents are really out of touch and don't realize what their kids are going through, or they are so selfish and caught up in their own pursuits and pleasures that they don't really care, that the kids are left fending for themselves.   The breakdown in America's family structure sure doesn't help at all either.   I think the youth of today are faced with big problems earlier than any generation before, and in ways that no other generation has had to handle.

  4. No. The youth still have their parents to advise them and to bail them out of trouble.  As an adult, you are usually on your own.

  5. That's too general a statement. Every individual case is different. Some young people have problems like abusive parents while others don't. Same with adults, some struggle

    while others skate through life.

  6. of course they are brainwashed we are not

  7. far more problems.  After all, youth are smarter than adults.

  8. It sucks to be a teenager.  I remember doing so many hours of homework and my parents would just sit there watching tv all night.  It seems all adults do is watch tv.  Teens have no control over where they live, who they live with, what they eat for dinner, who their teachers are and what classes they take.  Adults have responsibilities, but so what?  Paying bills is easy:  You either pay them or you don't.  Work is the result of your decisions, not anyone else's.  High school is very stressful; teens are rushed from one class to the next.  Hurry, hurry, learn this, learn that.  Adults sit in a cubicle surfing the net instead of doing their job.  Teens are in a "haze" mentally because of the hormones.  I love being an intelligent adult, thinking clearly in a way I couldn't as a teen.

Now, teens.  Just because I understand you doesn't give you an excuse to sit around a pout about having a sucky life.  Moping doesn't do you any good either.

  9. This is like comparing apples to oranges. The problems change, that is the only difference. I think all age groups are under more and different pressures than recent past generations. My honest answer would have to be: No. It's worse when you actually have to PAY for everything.

  10. Yes i would agree with you fully.

Because the youth these day even curry their parents' problems.

Most parents shift their problems to their children, knowingly or unknowingly.Yet the children have problems of their own of which they seek answers to.

    Thanks for asking.

  11. In my opinion. yes.

  12. Disagree, at every stage of life we encounter different kind of problems. I guess this is part and parcel of LIFE
