Youtube and camcorder?

how do i get my vids i made to my files? i have a youtube account, and i know how to upload and stuff, but what do i half to do to save the vids from my camcorder in the files, so i can put it on youtube? i am using a usb cable on a sony.

once you connect your cord to the camera(if digital camera---only kind that works)it should open up and ask you if you have to  transport somwhere, if not go to "my computer" and check it. open the file labeled"hiji" or "removable disk"(whatever it says your camera cord is known as) and click it. hold down Ctrl and choose selected videos/pictures. on the side, there should be a note saying something about move somwhere else. Click move and the files will be copied and moved somewhere of your choosing. you can go on youtube and browse and download from whereever you moved the video to.
