  1. Go to Google images and find the image you want.  Click on it, then click see full size image.  Copy the URL at the top of the page.  Then go to your youtube page, click edit page, then go to Channel Design.  Scroll down, and go to "Custom Background Image"  Paste the URL of the image you want, and viola! you're done.  If you want a picture of YOURSELF, go to imagecave.com, create an account, and upload a picture you want.  The website will give you the URL of the image you uploaded, and again, you paste it onto the "Custom Background Image" spot.

  2. How to Get a Background on YouTube

    1 Go on YouTube.com.

2 Log in or create an account.

    3 Go to Google

    4 Click on "Images".

5 Type in the url leading to the picture you want.

6 Click on the picture so it enlarges.

7 Right click and hit "Copy".

    8 Paste into Youtube.

    9 Click "Update your Channel."

    10 There you go!

    ---for best editing..

use windows movie maker (included in your windows machine)... it can help you make beautiful slideshow or video clip(e.g. mixing your songs with pictures/video/lyrics/etc).... then save it as video file such as wmv... finally upload.

or .. Just get those clips you want , save & convert them, and then mix/match with pix/sound/etc using windows movie maker to create new masterpieces....

this will help you.... Use 'zillatube'. This is the easiest (and also the fastest) way.

Zillatube produces mpg/mp3 formats from youtube that are compatible with windows movie maker(or media player), and more.

It is very easy to download and convert videos. Then edit those converted mp3/mpg videos with windows movie maker... save your file as wmv and then upload.

It works very well....just google search for "zillatube"

  3. Click the "Account" link at the top of any YouTube webpage, and then select "Channel Design".

It is on that page that you can enter an image url to save as your background.
