Youtube videos won't play.?

I just got Firefox, and when I try to play a youtube video i get this message : Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. .... I turned on JavaScript and updated my flash player, so what's wrong?

javascript is usually turned on by default...so, it might be your flash player is outdated..

you can try a different browser...

these will help you...

1. Use Opera browser, it will load faster and smoother,  and re-install latest flash (the correct way)

get the latest flash player, and install it.. make sure all the browsers are NOT running during installation... this is the right way to install the flash player.

by the way, the javascript is turned on by default.

OR..

2. It could be due to slow connection or high traffic.

Try watching it during off peak hours, the video will be smoother.

Or you could watch it offline smoothly... try using 'zillatube' .

It works well - Just google search "zillatube" to get it.

This is a common problem and I have answered here before.

In this case you will have to do two things.

First you have to make confirm if in internet browser Java is checked or not.(I know about MS Internet explorer so you check this yourself for fire fox etc)

Then delete Adobe Flash player. Shock wave player and Java script. Clean Cookies, history and trash bin etc.

Re-install Adobe Flash Player, Shock wave player and Java script.

Later re-start computer and it must work fine this time.

Note: if you do not have shock wave player then no need to do anything but I think it is also must as Adobe flash player.
