Just a random question that should be easy to answer. When you have to search through your deck by the effect of a Spell/Trap card, such as in the effect of "Foolish Burial", do you have to shuffle your deck after your done? Also, in the case where a card says that you can add a Monster card to your hand, do you have to show that card to your opponent so they know your not trying to trick them by drawing another card (like a spell or trap) instead?

  1. yah i'd haf to go with saying you'll haf to shuffle your deck and yah you'll also haf to show the cards to the oponent as well!! ^_^

    hope it helps!! ^_^

  2. Yes to both parts of your question.

You must shuffle your deck after you look through it for any effect.  Even if you make a mistake and pick up your deck by accident, but never actually looked through it.  Your opponent just wants to make sure that you are not cheating and you want to show him that you aren't.  Unless your opponent states that you don't have to shuffle and he is OK with it.  If he/she has no problem with it, then you shouldn't.

As for putting cards in your hand from your deck or graveyard, you must show your opponent every time what the card is.  He needs to see it to make sure you are not adding cards to your hand that you aren't supposed to.  Plus it gives them an advantage knowing what is in your hand.  There are certain cards that you might not have to show.  I'm not quite sure which ones though.

  3. you deff have to show them the card.

if you do not you can be DQed for a misplay.

  4. If its written on the card "Then shuffle your deck",then yes.If its not, than no.

  5. You must always shuffle your deck after you search it. Some of the older versions of cards may have omitted this but the newest version of the card will say "shuffle your deck afterwards". Also, you must always reveal your search target. This is because your deck is a hidden zone. If you cannot fulfill the search requirements, you must declare a failure to find and your opponent MUST look through your deck to confirm the lack of legal targets for the search.

  6. yes cause if not u could put a godley card on top like caisu the shadow monarch

any time u search yo deck for anycard u must shuffle

  7. Yes, you do have to shuffle your deck.  If you are playing somewhat professionally, then your opponent, just to cover bases, may request also that you shuffle your deck.  Just to avoid confrontation, it is important to shuffle after searching through your deck.

As for the second portion, in the rules it says that you must show the card to your opponent after retrieving it from your deck.  If you activate a card like that and are unable to retrieve the target card from your deck, now your opponent may search your deck to confirm the premise.  It pays to know what cards you have and it is good to know that you do have a card in your deck at the ready after activating a card like Foolish Burial.

    Sincerely,

    G.C.

  8. yes you have to shuffle and you must show your card you get from the deck because some people could do that and get a spell or trap
