Yu-Gi-Oh Dueling Question?? Crystal Beasts?

I have another slight problem. I've changed my folder up a bit since I last posted. I'm using crystal beasts now, not to summon Rainbow Dragon or anything like that, but like a kinda beatdown deck. I use them for other monster's effects in my deck, such as Gravi-Crush dragon. I need to know if I have any Crystal beast in play and I tribute it, can I place it in my spell/trap card zone?

Yes you can because when you tribute them they're are supposed to be destroyed right? but they're specials effect lets them turn into a continuos spell card whenever they would be destroyed.

So yes they do go in your spell and trap zone. When you tribute them.

Truthfully, unless it says in the text that it needs to be destroyed by battle, then you can.
