Yu-Gi-Oh card ruling - Jinzo with Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror?

Question

How would this work? If Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror is on the field first, then you summon Jinzo, would Mirror negate Jinzo's effect and his effect stays negated or does Jinzo still get his effect being that it's a continuous effect and it is truly never really activating?

I actually have another question along the same lines. I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this already. Prime Material Dragon is on the field and I activate Light-Imprisoning Mirror. Next I activate Smashing Ground or Lightning Vortex to destroy monsters on the field and my opponent tries to activate Prime Material Dragon's effect and discards one card to negate my Spell, would Light-Imprisoning Mirror activate and negate Prime Material Dragon's effect? I assume it would, but wasn't really sure. I just need a confirmation on this.

Can I please get answers from people who actually know the ruling on these and not people just guessing because they want points. lol. Thanks.

jinzo's effect is continuious. so shadow-imprisoning mirror cant stop jinzo in any way, unless they change the ruling.

to put it simpel, if ya ues cards that can stop another's efekt then the card uesed last will activate 1st it's in the rool book!

if jinzo is on the field first then you can´t activate Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror but if Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror was on the field first, it will negate jinzos effect

It´s all about who´s there first so in your case jinzos effect is negated

And yes, Light-Imprisoning Mirror would negate prime material dragons effect and prime material dragon would be destroyed

Actually this is a very good question. See Shadow-imprisoning mirror reads "when the effect of a DARK monster activates on the field or in the graveyard negate it." The rule that comes into effect here is that Jinzo's ability is NOT an activated ability. If Jinzo successfully comes onto the field then he will negate shadow-imprisoning mirror. SI mirror is NOT like skill drain. If you summon fusilier dragon and activate SI mirror, its atk will stay at 1400 because SI-mirror only negates ACTIVATED abilites, not all Dark monster effects. So hopefully that clarified that for everyone. As for the Light-imprisoning mirror, yes it would negate Prime because Prime is an ACTIVATED ability. =) Just like SI-mirror, if you were to attack a marshmallon and activate LI-mirror, you would be safe from the 1000 damage, however Marshamllon would still be impervious to attacks becase Li-mirror is not like Skill Drain.
