Yucatan Peninsula?

I live in AZ and work for USAIR so I fly for free

I wanted to got Mexico, I want shallow, calm , crystal clear waters, little wind and white sand, I am also look for the most affordable place on the beach

Is Cancun it?

Also I am heaed there by myself, is it easy to chat to the locals even tho I know no spanish?

I agree, Isla De Mujeres is the way to go. You will have to fly into cancun and take a short 20 minute ferry trip out of Punta Sam. The north tip of the island is about as shallow, calm and crystal clear as it can get. Paradise.

Isla de Mujeres would be a good place as well as Cozumel .

Playa del Carmen  also great.

If you dont want to be so alone,if you know what I mean, then Cancun.  Mexican English speakers are few and mostly speak English that is related to their work.

Pick up a phrase book and have a little fun.

cancun is a big city with a lot of day and night life, if u want peace and calm i suggest u any other beach in the sorroundings like puerto morelos, tulum, playa del carmen, akumal.....and yes everybody speaks english there....btw u can pay everything wether in pesos wether in dollars, taxis dont accept credit card and u can drink the water as long as it isnt frm the tap :P
