In the TCG, you can use any Language that has been released in TCG Territories (English, French, German, Italian, Spanish & Portuguese). If you are using different language cards to the location of the tournament, it is good manners to bring with you appropriate translations.

The following was found at the offcial Yu-Gi-Oh! Website(TCG):

"Japanese, Asian-English and counterfeit cards are not legal for use in Official Tournaments. The English print Egyptian God Cards are also not legal for tournament play."

  1. you have answered your own question ... you can use english and european language cards ... you should bring the translation although most people know what most cards do (i suggest taking exact translations anyway) ... cards from the OCG (basically japanese cards) cannot be used in US or european tournaments ... hope this helps

  2. i think a simple "oh dear" will surfice here.

  3. You can't use any cards not made by Upper Deck in the US or any other country where Upper Deck distributes Yu-Gi-Oh cards. Why? Because the Asian cards are produced by Konami with an entirely different process than Upper Deck's cards. Because of this its easy to tell the difference between the OCG(Original Card Game is what YGO is called in Japan) and the TCG cards. Also, many cards available in Japan and other Asian aren't available in the US.

  4. you can use any language except asian because they have cards that we don't

  5. Dont play the game youll feel much better

  6. i'd be on the safe side and not use j*p cards in american tournaments
