Yugioh: How many cards in a deck?

Ive read that only 40 cards are allowed in a Deck, but then ive heard that because of Yugioh 5D's there are supposed to be 60 cards in a deck now? What are the official rules for how many cards per deck? Is it 40 or 60 in a deck. Anyone know how many are supposed to be in a deck?

Okay, due to the release of 5D's the rules have been changed a little. The minimum amount of cards allowed in your deck is 40 cards and the maximum is 60 cards. Its also better to keep close to the 40 minimum so you can draw your best cards earlier on in the game.

The amount of cards you can have in your deck is unlimited. You can have any amount of cards in your deck, but 40 is the minimum amount. Anyway, try to keep your deck close to 40 cards, like 42, because it makes it easier to get your strategies out. Many of the strongest duelists have about 41 cards in their deck.

It sort of Depends on what format of the game you are playing cause right now there are 2 different formats Traditional and Advanced, alto i have heard with the 5D's they will be adding a 3rd Format. In all formats you must have a minimum of 40 cards. In traditional rules with also allows you to used banned cards you can have has many cards has you want in your Deck and Extra Deck, better know has the fusion deck.  Advanced Format is played in torments right now, it is the same has traditional but with the Banned List. in most video games they only allow you to use 60 or 80 cards depending on how much memory space the game has.  Now there is a 3 Format going to be called Master format or they just might change the Advanced Format. Were you are only allowed 60 cards Max, and 15 cards in your extra deck.  Note the advanced and Master are rules for Tourments, so you don't have to go by them unless you enter a tourment.  and there are some nonsaction tourments that don't follow the Advanced or Master Formats.  Hope I help.

you can have up to 60 cards but the more cards you have the harder it it to pick up a card you need. you should really stick to the 40 cards and have 19 monsters in your deck, about 13 spells, and about 8 trap cards. try looking it up.

here's the tornement ruels and limets;

1 you must have no less then 40 cards in your deck your deck can't go higher then 60 cards

2 the fusion deck is now called the "extra deck" and you can keep both fusion monsters and secoro monsters in the extra deck

3 volating ruels means your disqualefide

4 the extra deck can't have more then 15 cards in it

5 the side deck can have no more then 15 cards in it

6 thair is a card limet list and follow it

7 thair is a list of cards that arn't alowed in tornements and folow it (it chages evry year)

8 if you have a card writen in another langege in your deck you must have the english decripion of that card in a form from the computer so both players know what the card dos

9 no counterfit cards are alowed

10 the origenal god cards are illegel

11 no up grading the main deck during a tornement unless your using cards coming from your side deck

and if your not in a tornement you can have more then 15 cards in the extra deck and you can use banned cards and the origanal god cards all the other ruels still aplay exsept ruel #11 cuzz you arn't in a tornement but all the other ruels aplay even if your not in a tornement!! ^_^

yugioh 5ds has nothing to do with the games official rules as its a cartoon series. 40 cards has been the minimum amount you can have in a deck and is best to have to get your combos out. apart from that there is no limit to your deck but generally speaking computer games wont let you succeed 80

With 5d's new set, their is a 40 card minimum and

you can't have more than 60 cards!

If you have cards that search for others, i would say 50-60 cards

For most decks 40-45 card!
