What is the card ruling for Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner?

Would this be allowed if I use her effect in this situation:

If I summon Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner, and discard Wulf, Lightsworn Beast, can I choose Wulf, Lightsworn Beast again to be special summoned on my side of the field or do I have to choose another Lightsworn card in my graveyard?

What happens if I have no other Lightsworns in my graveyard, and I discard Wulf for the effect then special summon the same Wulf?

  1. Here's the exact ruling from the Upperdeck website:

Discarding 1 card is a cost to activate this effect.

If you discard a Level 4 or lower "Lightsworn" monster to activate "Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner's" effect, you can Special Summon it.

You cannot activate "Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner's" effect if you do not have any Level 4 or lower "Lightsworn" monsters in your Graveyard, even if you would discard one to activate the effect.

If an effect is chained that removes "Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner" from the field, the targeted "Lightsworn" monster is still Special Summoned.

  2. Since i have a lightsworn deck i can help. Lumina is like zombie master. You must have a lightsworn in your graveyard to special summon before you discard a card to initiate the card effect. Wulfs effect only work When Hes destroyed from the deck. So he is not summoned.

  3. if you discarded wulf for lumina's effect, you can special summon that same wulf you discarded

  4. you cannot select the same card that you discarded, if you had another Wulf then yes. and if you dont have any lightsworn cards in your grave to begin with you cant activate the effect
