Yugioh Magical Arm Shield Question?

The Effect of the card reads - Activate only when your opponent declares an attack while there is a monster on your side of the field. Take control of 1 of your opponent's face-up monsters, except the attacking monster, and this monster is attacked instead. At the end of the Battle Phase, return control of this monster to your opponent.

If the monster that your opponent took was weaker then the monster that was attacking would that monster be destroyed or would it stay on the field and return to your opponents turn at the end of the battle phase?

you take control of the monster ... it is then attacked and because you control it you take any battle damage and the monster is destroyed if it's weaker ... your opponent takes it if its stronger (normal damage calculation rules apply)

It would get destroyed,and you would take LP damage

Your opponent's monster would be destroyed, and since the monster is under your control (and on your side of the field) you would lose the life points. Even though it was your opponent's monster you lose the life points because there is no special text on Magical Arm Shield that says you dont. Essentially this card is a Change of Heart and a Shift combined, first you gain control of the monster, then the attack is shifted to that new monster. For that same reason, you cannot activate it when you have 5 monsters on the field, because you have no more monster zones to place your chosen monster.
