Yugioh card rules?

anyway i just got back into this card game and took a look at the forbidden cards and was wondering if i should actually follow the forbidden card rule, i can see using limits on some cards, but some cards i actually want in my deck but im not sure.

So should i follow the forbidden card stuff?

and when and where do people take the forbidden card rule into action?

forbidden is only a must if u go to a torny, in other cases, console the person u play against.

if u have enough cards, I suggest u make at least one of each(advanced and tradtional), advanced=no forbidden in deck  and tradtional=forbidden. because it never hurts to experience the full power with ur friends now and then(although due to my favor to my primary deck, an advanced, it's kicking my tradtional's behind... I don't have enough cards to make too many good decks...)

i never follow the forbidden rules.

i use some forbidden cards in my deck and i dont want to take them out.

also i dont play in tournaments so it deosnt matter what cards are in my deck.

The forbidden/limited list is used in tournaments and so if you enter them your deck has to meet that standard.

I believe you should follow the list because that way everyone is playing by the same rules and makes the game fairer.

If you just want to play with friends, you can come up with your own rules, as long as everyone agrees to them.

i don do that when i play w/ my friends because its not a  tournament and we just play for fun. if you are in tournaments you must follow rules

it really depends who you play with and how serious you are

i just recently got back into the game about a month ago and i had forbidden cards in my deck. i decided to take them out because ALOT of people that play now play following the forbidden card list.

my suggestion is just play with the forbidden rules bc its not that big of a deal considering that there are new cards that do the same thing but are just a little more on the fair side

examples

change of heart(forbidden)----brain control(only difference is now you pay 800 life points)

rageki(forbidden)----lighting vortex(only difference is you have to discard a card from your hand)

call of the haunted(forbidden)----premature burial(only difference is you pay 800 life points)

so its not a big deal and alot of ppl i know adjusted fairly quickly to the rules

so its up to you and who you play with

but i suggest follow the forbidden list bc itll cause less problems when you play with a serious player

always let the person your dueling know you have forbidden cards in your deck if you decide to keep them in
