IF I SET A TRAP DUSTSHOOT ON MY TURN AND THEN END.

THEN IT IS MY OPPONENTS TURN AND THEN DRAWS ON HIS DRAW PHASE AND HE HAS A TOTAL OF 5 CARDS. CAN I ACTIVATE TRAP DUSTSHOOT DURING THE STANDBY PHASE? IF NOT, WHY CAN'T I?

  1. yes you can activate it as soon as they draw ... this is done quite alot by people that use trap dustshoot becuase it lets them see their opponents hand and (usually) allows them to gain hand advantage by returning 1 of the monsters to the deck ... hope this helps

  2. not 100% sure on this but i would say no becuse standby phase is for opponents card affects i think but anyway you could activate it in the draw phase after he/she draws.

  3. I don't think you can activate it on his standby phase but you can do it immediately when he starts his main phase 1. I don't believe you can activate traps or spells during the standby phase unless the card states so.

  4. Yes, you can chain cards as early as the draw phase.

  5. yes you can activate on any phase in your opponents turn

  6. After its been set and you end your turn you can activate it during any phase. You don't even need to wait till the standby you could do it in response to the draw during the draw phase. I've done this many many times and I compete in national and shonen jump tournaments.

  7. yes if the opponent still has 5 cards. it says to activate when "your opponent has 4 or more cards in their hand"
