  1. I'd say it's sad that you don't know where your name comes from and that you don't know where Croatia is located and also that you do not know that Yugoslavia ceased to exist but it's not my place to do it.

Anyway, Juricich which at the beginning was spelled Jurićić or Juričić probably comes from Croatia. It could also come from Serbia but I think it's Croatian.

Croatia was one of the 6 republics that composed

Yugoslavia. It is located in EUROPE, more precisely southern Europe - the Balkan peninsula.

As for Yugoslavia, there is too much to be said so I suggest you look it up on wiki...

    ------

Yugoslavia had a border with Italy, Croatia today hasn't. Although one could say Croatia has close ties with Italy.

But on the contrary your last name has nothing to do with Italian nor Italy...

  2. Your last name is Croatian.Croatia is country in southern central Europe, it was part of Yugoslavia 17 years ago, but Yugo doesnt exist anymore (thanks God...!!!).Yugoslavia was union of Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Macedonia and Montenegro that existed from 1945 to 1992. Now that are all separate countries.

Look on wikipedia! Your last name on croatian would be spelled Jurčić.

  3. If you're Croatian you need to at least know that Croatia used to be part of Yugoslavia so you can't say that your name is yugoslav that's so shameful (as a Croat) because Croatians have always wanted to be independent.  You're lucky my family doesn't know you.

In Croatian your last name is Jurčić.  The accent marks make the c's pronounced "ch" and the J's are pronounced as Y's.  The first c has a harder sound.  Most Croatian and Serbian names end in -ic but I'm positive your name is Croatian because it's from Jure, which Croatians use and Serbians do not, unlike my name, Sanja, which Serbians also use.  That's how you know.  Croatian and Italian names are not related; Italy is not a slavic country.

You should learn about your country, no one has heard of Croatia but it's a beautiful place with a beautiful culture that Croatians are proud of especially in hercegovina and we do well in soccer, you should be proud and love to be Croatian.
