Yui Hashimoto claims Women’s Singles title at Austrian International Challenge 2013
Japan’s upcoming player Yui Hashimoto made her presence strongly felt to the world as she claimed Women’s Singles title after defeating Bulgaria’s Petya Nedelcheva in the final encounter of Austrian International Challenge 2013 on Saturday, February 23,
in Austria.
The impressive Hashimoto, who remained incredible confident throughout the tournament, continued her unbeaten run in the final battle and outplayed the top seeded Nedelcheva who seemed to have some sort of fitness problem in the arena.
The Japanese lady was at her best as she played aggressive badminton all the way and easily registered a comprehensive victory against her higher ranked challenger in straight games in just 28 minutes with a lopsided 21-11 and 21-3 score on the board.
On the contrary, the top seeded Nedelcheva could not play to her maximum potential as she was very slow that indicates that she was not fit. She tried to play attacking badminton but failed to stop her rival from winning the match in a one-sided manner.
The hard to match speed and powerful strokes of Hashimoto helped her to take control of the affairs from the initial points of opening game.
Hashimoto proved that she has attained top class skills in the arena and eventually successful in taking a strong position on court.
Until the one-minute interval, the aggressive Hashimoto was leading the game as she did not face any trouble from her higher ranked challenger and stayed miles ahead on the score board.
Nedelcheva tried her best to put up strong resistance but failed to take charge of the game and remained trailing in the concluding part.
Hashimoto continued hitting powerful strokes in targeted areas and grabbed the first game with an inspiring difference of 21-11.
In the second game, Hashimoto played with reasonable speed without sparing any opportunity for Nedelcheva to find a good flow.
Hashimoto displayed her incredible skills on court by picking the bird timely from all areas and maintained her domination over her rival.
Japanese shuttler continued putting up reasonable performance in the second half of second game and remained successful in grabbing the game with a superb 21-3 difference on score board.
