Yukon Gold spuds, why they yellow?

Is this a natural yellow color or something that gets added to the soil for consumer appeal???

  1. because they contain lutein, which protects against degenerative eye diseases


  2. I always wonder about that when I find apples that look like the inside has been dyed red or something. Like, are they dying the outside and is it seeping in, or are they just red inside?

    Based on some research I did, some apples are actually red on the inside, though. It's strange.

  3. Yukon Gold Potatoes are that color naturally.

  4. Get real....   Potatoes come in many color flesh.  Many in S. America are blue and purple.
