We're staying at the Westin on Broadway Circle this summer. We're looking for yummy/interesting places to try. Could answerers also please indicate price range/ appropriate dress. we might like to try a fancier (pricier) place a couple nights, but we'd also like to try some more laid back places. We'd also like breakfast suggestions. :) Thanks so much!

  1. guam is cool

  2. Go to the Oceannaire Seafood Room, awesome, went there while we were in SD for my honeymoon.

  3. Chive is a great place.  Rama is a FABULOUS Thai place with an exquisite setting.  Even if you don't like Thai, go for some appetizers or something.  You will not be disappointed.

  4. I go every year for the Comic-Con, the convention center is near the Gaslamp district.

I love the Tin Fish, across from the conv.center.  The seafood is great, best clam chowder I've had on the West Coast, and the beer selection is good too.  Pretty laid back, and they're not open late, but if you like seafood it's a must.

Kansas City BBQ and Karl Strauss BrewPub are two of my other faves, but they might be a couple blocks outside the GasLamp.
