Yuri Krasnozhan has accepted the Anzhi Makhachkala project wholeheartedly and believes that he will have no difficulty leading the ambitious club full of star players.
Yuri Krasnozhan has lauded Anzhi Makhachkala for providing him with a chance to manage the ambitious Russian side. The former Lokomotiv Moscow manager recently signed a five-year contract with the Russian outfit.
However, Krasnozhan will also continue his role as the head coach of second Russian national football team for another six months, after negotiating with the Russian Football Union.
Anzhi Makhachkala were in search of a managerial candidate, after they parted company with Gadzhi Gadzhiev, the former manager, during the second Russian Premier League round. Roberto Carlos had been leading the Russian outfit
in a player-coach capacity since then.
Reports in Russia had earlier suggested that Anzhi have managed to sign Guus Hiddink on a reported three-year contract, for an annual fee believed to be in the region of 8 million Euros.
However, the deal failed to materialize as Herman Chistyakov, Anzhi vice-president, rated Krasnozhan above the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 FC manager.
Although Hiddink’s trophy cabinet speaks for itself, the Dutch national was not in prime coaching form of his career. He was sacked by the Turkish national football team after failing to achieve satisfactory results in Euro 2012
qualifiers.
On the contrary, Krasnozhan has a bag full of Russian top-flight experience. He promoted Spartak Nalchik, a Russian First Division team with an unpopular squad, to the Russian Premier League in his second season.
His appointment as the Russian national second team coach, despite being controversially sacked from the Moscow-based club earlier this year, proves the fact that Krasnozhan is still regarded amongst the finest Russian coaches.
