Myaso head coach, Valery Karpin, called Rebrov straight into action after Dikan, sustained a knee injury during the crunch league tie against Zenit St. Petersburg at Luzhniki stadium.
Dykan, who is reportedly going to Germany in order to operate his knee, sustained the shocking injury while playing against the Russian giants, earlier this week. The Ukrainian goalkeeper had to leave the field for medication after
colliding with the Meshki striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aleksandr-Kerzhakov-c4569.
Rebrov, who joined the Russian outfit from Shinnik Yaroslavl, last year, will mark his second appearance for the Moscow-based club, if selected to play in the upcoming game against Kuban Krasnodar.
Spartak’s goalkeeping coach, Yuri Shishkin, has urged Karpin to give Rebrov a deserved chance to play the upcoming tie.
"I know him for quite some time when he played at Kursk on loan. I had a first encounter with him back in 2008. Rebrov has recorded couple of decent performances at Saturn Moscow Oblast only because he likes to work hard in training.
“Artyom is a balanced person, capable of withstanding significant load. Even in difficult situations, he never loses the presence of mind. His ability to read the game is fantastic. He is fully equipped with the
modern techniques and he needs to get more confidence on the pitch.” The former Krylia Sovetov Samara player was quoted as saying.
The former CSKA Moscow player revealed that Rebrov’s reputation convinced Karpin to sign him during the summer transfer window. He went on to admit that Rebrov’s calmness and psychological confidence is quite impressive.
Shishkin revealed that the Red-white’s manager now have a difficult decision to make ahead of the game.
