India’s limited overs specialist, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/YK-Pathan-c2815 just wants to enjoy his game to the fullest and believes that the results are in the hands of the Almighty.
Yusuf made a comeback to the national team for the Asia Cup 2012 in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 but the Men in Blue failed to make it to the finals of the tournament. The all-rounder played only one game and he did not get an opportunity to bat in that match.
The right-handed batsman made a name for himself during the first season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), while playing for the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rajasthan-c837 Royals. He was brought into the national team after that, but the all-rounder has so far failed to cement his place
in the Indian team, even though he has the ability to change the course of a game within a short span of time.
Yusuf is happy to be back playing internationally and this time he wants to make a permanent position for himself in the Indian team. He understands that fitness is the key and that he must enjoy every moment in international cricket.
"I will enjoy my cricket. Whatever hard work I have done on my cricket I will execute it. But the biggest thing is I will try to enjoy and keep myself fit. Success comes on its own," Yusuf said.
The right-handed batsman, who is more than handy with the ball, is of the opinion that international cricket is all about handling pressure and it is a challenge for any player to remain focussed when millions of people are watching them.
There has been criticism in the past over Yusuf’s shot-selection but the middle-order batsman believes that aggression has been his forte and he is not ready to curb his natural game.
"I don't want to put pressure on myself by thinking much. My job is to play good cricket, make my best efforts, remain focussed, and enjoy. I am doing the process and the results are in the hands of the Almighty. I play shots and I'll keep playing those,
but I'll not be hurried into playing those shots," he said.
